RE-DISCOVER the ICCA ASSOCIATION DATABASE and the many offerings in the MEMBER’S ONLY SECTION
 
Dear ICCA North America Members,
 
 
As a member of ICCA, one of the great and many benefits offered to your organization is to have access to our extensive Association Database. As you have heard from us in the past, we really want to encourage you to log into the Database at least once a week so that you can see which Associations are requesting bids from ICCA Members. In addition to the Association Database, we have increased the Member Benefits to include a  PR kit which is updated twice a year and a Digital Clipping Service which includes your organization. You are also now able to run unlimited Destination Comparison reports  in order to incorporate official statistics with your bid manuals thereby giving your organization a measurable edge in the bidding process.

I would like all NA Members to meet Monica Pataki who works in the North America office on a part time basis. Monica is available on a pre-scheduled basis to help Members with Association Database Training and Searches, finding information in the Member’s Only Section, completing Destination Comparison Reports, and locating information on the ICCA Website. 
 
Through gotomeetings.com Monica can guide you through searches while you are in your office or help you increase your knowledge of ICCA Member benefits. All you need is a small amount of time, a computer with speakers and both your login and password.

Dear ICCA NA Chapter:
 
Thanks for your support in electing me as your Chapter Chair. I really look forward to working hard with you all during the next two years
and having our Chapter play a more active role within the Association Meetings Industry worldwide.
 
2011 will bring global attention to our region with AIBTM June 21-23 in Baltimore and IMEX America October 11-13 in Las Vegas.
We should be able to capitalize on business opportunities by having groups of international buyers visiting some of our cities
through pre/post tours. I plan to discuss that topic with these organizations to benefit those NA members planning to attend these shows.
 
Some of the areas that I see growth opportunity for our ICCA NA Chapter are the following:
 
  • Year-round lead exchange system for The Americas: Integrate NA members through a permanent lead exchange
by working closer together with the ICCA Latin America Chapter and among us though an ongoing North America lead exchange.
  • Membership: Increase membership for the North America Chapter by 10 % (e.g., 12 members) per year in order to build
a stronger and more influential Chapter base.  More does not mean better but it helps to increase our resources and potential leads.
  • ICCA Data Workshops: Coordinate two workshops per year given by ICCA Headquarters experts through real time webinars
to maximize qualified leads for our members. When possible conduct workshops in those cities that may request it.
 
I plan to work in partnership with Joanne and all of you in strengthening our Chapter and making sure our future meetings are productive.
We want to continue having international speakers at our sessions that are able to illustrate new trends in the industry; present a
successful global meeting experience or discuss a case study that might stimulate innovative thinking, fresh ideas and new ways of doing business.
