Bid Manual ICCA Congress & Exhibition
The deadline to bid for the ICCA Congress 2014 is 1 October 2010.
Bidding for the Congress is open to all geographic regions, with the exception of the geographic region chosen immediately before the bid in question. In other words, the same geographic region cannot be selected two years in a row. The geographic regions will be those used for ICCA's governance purposes: Africa/Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, North America. The ICCA Board of Directors will take into account the time period between when a region hosts the Congress but there will be no strict rotation pattern.
The short-listed destinations for 2014 will be known after the ICCA Congress in November. The final decision will be made at IMEX 2011.
The timetable for the bidding process for the 2014 Congress is as follows:
- Formal written bids must be submitted by 1 October 2010.
- The Board of Directors will consider the written bids at their meeting on 23 October 2010.
- A short-list of 2 or 3 destinations will be announced after the ICCA Congress, on 1 November 2010.
- Site inspections of short-listed destinations will be undertaken between December 2010 and April 2011.
- Finalised written bids must be submitted by 1 May 2011.
- The ICCA Board of Directors will hear formal bid presentations at their meeting on 22 May 2011.
- The successful destination will be announced the week following IMEX 2011.

Bid Manual ICCA Research, Sales & Marketing Programme
The next open year is 2013. Any ICCA member organisation in Europe can bid for this event.
The bid for the ICCA Research, Sales & Marketing Programme in 2012 should reach ICCA Head Office by 1 March 2011.
If more than one destination bids for the ICCA Research, Sales & Marketing Programme 2013, site inspections could be carried out if necessary between March and the end of April 2011. ICCA Head Office can also take the decision based solely on the written bids.
The decision will be announced by the end of May 2011.
