Auckland Conventions Venues and Events Further Diversifies Portfolio

01 October 2012

Auckland Conventions Venues and Events has further expanded its portfolio of landmark venues to include Auckland Zoo and Mt Smart Stadium. This follows on closely from the addition of Auckland Art Gallery in August.

“We are going through an exciting period of growth and are thrilled to incorporate Auckland Zoo and Mt Smart Stadium into our offering” says Mohamed Mansour, Director of Auckland Conventions.

Auckland Conventions currently manages events spaces at the Viaduct Events Centre, Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, The Civic and Auckland Art Gallery for MICE events (meeting, incentives, conventions and exhibitions). All venues are part of the same wider organisation Regional Facilities Auckland.

“These venues will enhance the diversity of our portfolio and provide event organisers with greater opportunities to create unique experiences.”

Mr Mansour comments that Mt Smart Stadium is well-established as a venue for concerts, sporting and athletics events but also has plenty to offer corporate event organisers. With versatile spaces, ample on-site parking and convenient connections to the city and airport, the venue is suited to conferences, day meetings, gala dinners and cocktail functions.

Similarly, Auckland Zoo function spaces are easily adapted for corporate functions. From hosting intimate gala dinners overlooking the lions or hiring the entire Zoo for a corporate family day, event organisers are spoilt for choice across the expansive venue. Mr Mansour adds that there is also the option to provide guests with an insight into the Zoo’s conservation work, with guided Night Safari Walks.

“Our growing portfolio, not only offers clients a greater choice of venues but also the convenience of a centralised point of contact. Our team can help clients narrow down their options for suitable spaces and pull together a customised package of services to match their specific requirements.”
