Strong sector and skill diversity - a hallmark of IMEX Association Day 2011
The round tables each last for just 45 minutes and take place after a full afternoon of concurrent, themed talks and interactive sessions from leading industry speakers. The roundtable sessions are highly interactive but each is also facilitated to ensure that learning and knowledge is both captured and retained.
This year’s subjects include: Delegate Return on Investment; Risk Management; Online Learning; Fundraising plus Strategic Alliances and Partnerships. Other debates which are likely to attract strong participation are: Social Marketing & Networking; Memberships; Green Meetings and Expanding into Asia.
A full list can be seen here.
The educational content of IMEX Association Day is carefully tailored each year and is based on surveys and feedback requested from association meeting buyers the world over. In this way, IMEX and ICCA have built the event into a day of power-packed learning and networking that remains fresh and professionally valuable.
More than 300 association meeting planners and buyers are now registered to attend the one day event, which takes place the day before the IMEX in Frankfurt exhibition opens. Registered delegates so far represent 30 different countries. Each year it is this diversity and opportunity to meet peers for networking, education and socialising that asserts the reputation and value of IMEX Association Day, which is organised in association with ICCA and other leading industry associations. Places are still available at Association Day. Association executives who organise events internationally will qualify for the IMEX hosted buyer programme that includes complimentary flights and accommodation in Frankfurt. Register here.
Aside from the round tables, a daytime session on “Mobile Apps, social media, Web 2.0 and their impact on associations and their meetings” is also set to receive a lot of attention. IMEX will also be introducing its own App this year, which has been developed in partnership with MPI and QuickMobile and is sponsored by Switzerland Convention and Incentive Bureau. The IMEX App will allow access to a schedule of events including a ‘What’s on Now?’ feature, which lists all events and seminars in the next 60 minutes, access to social media, the exhibitor list and the Frankfurt City Guide. Hosted buyers will also have access to personalised diary information.
